Electrical Impedance Tomography

Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is an imaging technique that maps the internal conductivity or impedance distribution of a material, typically biological tissue, by measuring voltage differences across electrodes placed on the surface. EIT is particularly notable for its non-invasive nature, real-time imaging capabilities, and the ability to provide continuous monitoring, making it an attractive tool for me dical applications.

In medical diagnostics, EIT has found applications in monitoring lung function, detecting breast cancer, assessing brain activity, and guiding surgeries. Its potential for imaging soft tissues like lungs is especially significant, as it provides a radiation-free alternative to traditional imaging modalities like CT scans and X-rays.We investigate the properties of cell or tissues using the Tetra-polar Impedance Measurement Technique (TPIM) and Bipolar Measurement Technique (BPIM).
